Rossi Expects Better Results in Jerez

Sinauw- Ducati
racer Valentino
Rossi's hopes, the
Jerez circuit layout
will slightly reduce
the pressure on his
shoulder injury,
compared with in
Qatar. Thus, "The
Doctor" hoping the
second series is on
Sunday (3/4/11), he
could achieve better
results.

In the 2011 MotoGP
series opener in
Qatar, 20 March,
Rossi could not
perform optimally.

Besides being not
able to "tame"
Desmosedici GP11,
his physical condition
is not yet 100
percent fit after
shoulder surgery in
mid-November last
year (injuries
suffered during
training motocross
accident in April),
also makes him
difficult to fight.
As a
result, seven times
MotoGP world
champion must be
satisfied to finish in
seventh position.
"Qatar, with many
hard corners, and
areas where we
have to put the
brakes on right now,
it's hard for my
shoulder," said Rossi.

"We'll see if Jerez
little easier, although
I think for a while I
still have to bite the
fingers.
"From Qatar, I keep
trying hard in the
gym to try and
improve my
strength, and
especially
endurance. But after
Spain, I would have
took almost a month
for a more complete
recovery, following
the postponement of
the Japanese GP."
Ducati has never
won a race at Jerez
since 2006. For the
era of 800cc
machines, they could
only once on the
podium by Casey
Stoner in 2009, when
it finished third.

"From a technical
standpoint, Jerez
apparently not a
favorite track Ducati,
but I always liked
him and would try to
do better than what
we have until now,"
added the nine-time
world champion
motor racing.

"For now, we will
continue to work on
the setting, use
everything learned
in Qatar, where we
found some good
solutions for the
race," added former
Honda and Yamaha
rider this.
