BlackBerry Sales Reach 19.9 Billion U.S. Dollars

Manufacturer
BlackBerry, Research
in Motion (RIM) said
that during fiscal
year 2010 which
ended on February
26, 2011, the number
of Blackberry sold
reached 52.3 million
units.

Co-Chief Executive
Officer (CEO) of RIM,
Jim Balsillie, in a
press release
received in Jakarta
Sunday states,
Blackberry in great
demand especially in
the United States,
Canada, Latin
America and the UK.

"Revenues in the
fiscal year ended
February 26, 2011
was 19.9 billion U.S.
dollars, up 33
percent from
revenue of 15 billion
U.S. dollars in the
previous year," said
Balsillie.

Sales in the fourth
quarter of 2010
reached 5.6 billion
U.S. dollars
representing an
increase of prsen
from the previous
quarter to reach 5.5
billion dollars. In the
same period the
previous year, sales
reached 4.1 billion
dollars, according to
Jim Balsillie.
